PRAYER REQUESTS FROM BOB AND NANCY SHIREY!!
Dear Prayer Partners,
Please take these requests before the Father on behalf of the people of Chile:
  1. Pray for the Disaster Assessment Team that is coming from the U.S. They are not able to fly into the Santiago airport because it is closed due to damage sustained in the earthquake. They left the U.S. yesterday and it looks like they will have an additional 27 hour bus ride to get here. Once in Santiago they will travel by vehicle south to the Conception area (epicenter). There is much looting and violence in that area right now.
  2. Pray for our partnership with the Chile Baptist Convention and their emergency response leadership as we work together to provide help to the most needy in the southern regions of Chile.
  3. Pray that through our going and meeting physical needs, doors will be opened by the Disaster Response Teams to minister to the spiritual needs of the people both directly and indirectly through our partnership with the Chilean Baptists and the local Baptist churches and leaders in the most affected areas.
  4. Pray for physical strength and safety for the IMB teams that are going out from Temuco to assess the needs of the Mapuche community; for the team going out from Santiago to the most affected areas in the south; and for the Chilean Baptist teams that are  being mobilized across the country.
Thank you so much,
Bob and Nancy Shirey

God Bless You as you seek to know and serve Him,

Haiti Disaster Relief - If you wish to give towards disaster relief following the earthquake in Haiti, you may make a check to FBCMB and designate it to "Disaster Relief".  These funds will be forwarded to our International Mission Board Disaster Relief program, where food and other emergency needs will be distributed through our missionaries and mission partners with a gospel witness in the name of Jesus Christ.
